Stay Positive Franklin!

We know it’s hard to identify a lot of positives these days. So many of us find ourselves in situations we certainly never expected or planned for. As a result, it’s hard not to be like Eeyore.

It takes a lot of inner strength and external support to move from the negative to the positive. But if we think about it, we can and things can surely be worse.

Unlike some places around the country, here we have the ability to leave our homes, breath fresh air, and take walks. We have shelter, heat, water, and food. With a little social distancing we can communicate with family, friends and neighbors.

At the city level, all of the services Franklin residents, visitors and workers are used to are still in full swing. Every department is adequately staffed and each department head is still in the game. Our mayor, city council and city manager are receptive and supportive of the needs of each department.

So, turn your frown upside down. Enjoy what we do have. Know that we will persevere. Be safe and call if you need anything at all. Even Eeyore learned how to smile!
