ACCOUNTANT
The City of Franklin, NH is seeking a motivated individual willing to tackle challenges with high energy and develop positive working relationships with coworkers, residents and public officials to serve as the City’s next Accountant.  Working under the direction of the Finance Director, this position assists with all facets of the finance office. 
 
The accountant is responsible for the day-to-day record keeping in the City’s financial accounting system and subsidiary systems including such processes as payroll, cash receipts, general ledger and cash management.  In addition, the accountant is responsible for: the oversight of payroll, benefit coordination, general ledger account reconciliation, analysis, grant tracking and reporting.
 
Successful candidates will possess exceptional attention to detail, excellent communication skills, ability to work with confidential information, and experience with Microsoft Word & Excel as well as accounting software and report writing software. Must be a team player, highly organized, self-motivated, and possess excellent judgement and customer service skills. Experience in a municipal setting is desirable.

REFUSE PACKER OPERATOR
The Municipal Services Department has a full-time job opening for a Refuse Packer Operator at the Transfer Station.
 
Minimum Qualifications: Good physical condition to work in the out of doors in varying weather conditions. Must be available to work long hours for snow control and other emergency situations. Possession of a clean driving record and a New Hampshire CDL Class B driver license; CDL Class A preferred or the ability to obtain one within 12 months. Possession of a Transfer Station Operator and Weighmasters License or ability to obtain within 6 months.  Must pass a physical and drug and alcohol testing.
 
Salary: $20.10 - $21.65 per hour to commensurate with experience, plus a generous benefit package.

LIGHT EQUIPMENT OPERATOR - WATER & SEWER
The Municipal Services Department has a full-time job opening for a Light Equipment Operator in the Water and Sewer Divisions.  The position participates in the maintenance and upkeep of the City Water and Sewer Departments.
Must possess or have the ability to obtain a Class B CDL driver’s license and a clean driving record.  Possession of a Level 1 NH Public Water System Operators Certification in Distribution and Treatment, or must obtain within one year from the date of hire.  Physical and drug testing required.
 
Starting pay range: $18.10 - 19.49 an hour to commensurate with experience, plus a generous benefit package.
