Open Council/Board/Commission Positions


The City currently has available seats on the following committees: Conservation Commission, Heritage Commission, Highway Safety Commission, Capital Improvement Plan Committee, and the Library Board of Trustees.  

The City of Franklin is seeking resident volunteer citizens to fill vacancies on the Conservation Commission.  Descriptions of these groups can be found from the Home Page, Boards and Committees, and to the respective committee.  These are appointed postions.  Anyone interested please complete a Prospective Appointee Profile application with your resume.  Please submit completed documents to the City Manager's office, or by email.

Supervisor of the Checklist for Ward 2

The City of Franklin is seeking volunteer citizens to fill a vacancy as a Supervisor of the Checklist for Ward 2.  This position is an elected position and has many important responsibilities and deadlines; knowledge of election laws and procedures is a plus.  Attendance at all Elections is required and attendance at supervisor sessions that are held on Tuesdays and Saturdays throughout the Election season.  Applicants must be able to dedicate extra time after the Elections to finalize the Checklist.  Applicants also must be a registered voter and a Ward 2 resident.  Anyone interested may submit a City Employment Application; or you may complete a Prospective Appointee Profile application with your resume.  Please submit completed documents by mail to City Hall, or by email.
