Open City Positions
The City of Franklin (pop. 8,600) seeks a dynamic, creative, and experienced financial manager to lead the City's Finance Department. The Finance Director is a full-time, department head position responsible for supervising, directing, and managing all administrative and technical aspects of the City’s Finance Department. Under the direction of the City Manager, the Finance Director oversees a $31+ million budget (including schools), directs the daily operations of the office and its personnel. The Director processes, tracks, and reports all financial transactions with the primary goal of ensuring a high degree of accuracy and quality. Successful candidates will possess in-depth knowledge of municipal finance programs and services. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a closely related field with at least three year’s supervisory experience in public finance is strongly desired. The City of Franklin offers a competitive benefit package. Salary range $77,334 to $101,462 DOQ/E. The City of Franklin has an immediate opening for a highly motivated Inspector within in our Fire Prevention Division. This Inspector reports directly to the Fire Prevention Captain. Qualified candidates must be able to communicate effectively. This position is a 40 hour per week, business hours, position. This Inspector position is dynamic in nature to include the duties listed below:
Salary range $20.10 - $26.37 per hour

Supervisor of the Checklist for Ward 2 & for Ward 3
The City of Franklin is seeking volunteer citizens to fill a vacancy as a Supervisor of the Checklist for Ward 2 and a Supervisor of the Checklist for Ward 3. This position is an elected position and has many important responsibilities and deadlines; knowledge of election laws and procedures is a plus. Attendance at all Elections is required and attendance at supervisor sessions that are held on Tuesdays and Saturdays throughout the Election season. Applicants must be able to dedicate extra time after the Elections to finalize the Checklist. Applicants also must be a registered voter and a Ward 2 resident or Ward 3 resident.
