A Message From the City Manager

Hello Franklin,

Its come to my attention that a political event has been posted to the city and/or community calendar on the City's website. The City has taken the stance of being politically neutral in content and postings. Although I understand that Choose Franklin also takes a stand of political neutrality and I do believe the candidate's forum a great way for Franklin residents to start the conversation with their candidates, it is not appropriate for the city's website for a variety of reasons including but not limited to the possible appearance of political favoritism.  Therefore, it has been deleted and will not be on the website going forward. For more information about the Choose Franklin Candidate's Forum event you will find it on the Choose Franklin website, www.choosefranklin.org.  

Other Choose Franklin events will continue to be posted on the website should the organization choose to do so. The City appreciates the efforts of all of the nonprofits to better this community and welcomes all nonprofits to post their non political events on the community calendar! Keep up the great work!
