Message from the City Manager:

Hello Franklin,

On Wednesday, March 8th, the City Manager’s Economic Development team held a public forum where they highlighted current projects, Franklin’s reinvention as an outdoor recreation destination, and the return on investment this outdoor recreation-based revitalization, featuring the first whitewater kayak venue in New England, has realized to date. The team emphasized the need to keep “the economic engine running” in order to reap the full potential benefits, both economically and socioeconomically, going forward.

To this end, the economic development team identified key projects, educated the audience on the returns of those projects and asked the audience to support the city council. The team recommended that the city council vote for a $20m bond to invest in Franklin’s future.
