Attention Ward Three Voters!

Interested in getting involved in the community you live in?  Curious of how elections work?  Or do you want to experience elections from a different stand point?  We have two recently vacated positions that need to be filled.  The two positions will be appointed through the Franklin City Election in October.  Also, if you would be interested in running for the rest of the vacated seat’s term, you may sign up during August to be elected at that point.

Election Ward Clerk Official:
The ward clerk shall report directly to the moderator. The primary duty of the clerk shall be to administer and prepare the documentation required at the polling place. This would include not only the election return and tally sheets and associated reports, but will also include such documentation as poll workers time sheets, payroll records, W-4 forms, etc.
The Ward Clerk must pick up the ward supplies and documentation package at the City Clerk’s office before reporting to the polling place.
The Ward Clerk shall also aid any voters who may need assistance in the polling area. The Ward Clerk will assist the Moderator in the course of managing the polling place.

Public sessions are held in the City Clerk’s office at least 7-10 days before each election.  Additionally, there will be a public session before every candidate sign up period.  The City Election sign up is always in August.  Also, the State Rep sign up period occurs every other year around the beginning of June.  After the elections are completed there will be data entries needed to update the checklists.
