Per RSA 654:12, Any person wishing to register to vote must come to the City Clerk's Office and show proof of:

 

            1.  Citizenship;

            2.  Age; and,

            3.  Domicile.

At that time, you will be required to fill out the voter registration form (example located above).  The form above is an example only and will need to be filled out at City Hall.

To acquire an absentee ballot you must request one from the City Clerk, Cynthia Torsey, in writing.  Cynthia Torsey, City Clerk, City of Franklin, 316 Central Street, Franklin NH  03235.  For more information on absentee ballots, please view the Voter FAQ page.

Any person who is absent on the day of any state election from the City in which he/she is registered to vote or who cannot appear in public on any election day because of his/her observance of a religious commitment or who is unable to vote there in person by reason of physical disability may vote at such election as provided per RSA 657:1.

An application form for an absentee ballot shall be mailed or delivered to any person who applies therefore to the City Clerk.  It shall be filled out by the applicant and sent to the City Clerk in which he/she desires to vote.  Alternatively, a person may apply for an official absentee ballot by sending to said City Clerk a written statement containing the information required for that election per RSA 657:6.

In any election, the city clerk shall not accept any completed absentee ballots delivered to the clerk after 5:00 p.m. on election day.
