RECREATION PROGRAMS DIRECTOR

The City of Franklin, NH is seeking an energetic individual with a recreation background for the position of Recreation Programs Director.  The City of Franklin, located in the Lakes Region area, offers a wide variety of year round recreation services and programs, including two city beaches, a ski area, and eight parks.   Ideal candidates for this full-time, salaried position will have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college with major course work in recreation administration or equivalent and also possess experience with recreational programs, practices, and administration.  Salary range for this position is $14.74 to $19.82 per hour with an excellent benefit program available.  Send resumes to Franklin City Hall, 316 Central St., Franklin, NH 03235.  Deadline for applications is May 16, 2008. 

Boston Red Sox Trip

The Franklin Parks and Recreation Department is taking a trip to see the Boston Red Sox vs. Texas Rangers on April 21st at 10:05am (right field grandstand section 6). A coach bus will transport participants to and from the game.  The bus will be departing the Recreation Center at 7:00am. A maximum of 50 people will be accepted. Children twelve and under must be accompanied by an adult. 

­Activity Cost: $45.00

 

Tennis Lessons

 

Tennis Lessons are offered through the Franklin Parks and Recreation Department.  This four week program provides technique based instruction to participants 7 years old and older. Lessons are on Tuesdays from May 6th –27th. The one hour lessons are held in the Odell Park Tennis Courts from 5:30pm-6:30pm.

­Program Cost: $25.00 (Resident)/$37.50 (Non-Resident)

 

Pre-School Play Days

 

The Franklin Parks and Recreation Department is offering a play day for pre-school children ages 3-5, Thursdays 10:00am-10:45am at Odell Park. This program will run May 1st 29th, and focus on soccer related games. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. 

­Program Cost: $10.00 (Resident)/$15.00 (Non-Resident)
