The Administration division is responsible for the overall management of the fire department. It consists of the Fire Chief, Deputy Fire Chief and a Secretary. Chief Scott R. Clarenbach Serving Franklin since 1981, Chief since 1993.

The Fire Chief is responsible for the overall management of the department with immediate supervision of the Administration, Fire Alarm and Fire Prevention & Inspection divisions. Duties include planning, budgeting, purchasing and response to emergency calls as needed. The Fire Chief also serves as the City’s Emergency Management Director and reports to the City Manager.
 

Deputy Chief Royal B. Smith Serving Franklin since 1987, Deputy since 2006.

 The Deputy Fire Chief is responsible for the day to day operations of the department with immediate supervision of the Fire Suppression & Rescue/EMS divisions which currently includes 12 career and 30 call members. Duties include training of personnel, care & maintenance of apparatus/equipment, Quality Assurance and Inspection, and responds to fire and EMS calls as needed.

Secretary Carolyn P. Morrill Serving Franklin since 1984, secretary since 1984.
The secretary is responsible for the office operations of the entire department.
