Welcome to the fire department's web page. We hope that you
enjoy your tour through our virtual department. We are also
hopeful that this site will answer any initial questions that
you may have. As always, we extend an open invitation to you for
an in-person tour of our operation whenever you are in the area.
As you will see, our department is steeped in tradition which we
cherish and that spans almost as long as our community is old
(1828). We have strived to continue to provide the safety
services that our organization was founded on, as well as during
the past decades, adding many additional duties from Emergency
Medical Services and Hazardous Materials to Code Enforcement to
better meet the community’s growing needs. At every turn, we
strive to provide the highest level of services to you at the
best possible cost savings.
We would not have been able to accomplish what we have without
our dedicated staff. Both call and career members dedicate an
unbelievable amount of their lives into a profession that they
love. Be it weekly training or getting out of bed at 3AM when it
is -25˚F these people continue to serve year after year. You
will seldom find a firefighter that doesn’t love what he or she
is doing as a career or as the best part-time job ever! You are
the benefactor of this dedication each and every time there is
an emergency or other call for service.
It is our hope that as you visit many areas of this site, it
will become clear the dedication of our past and present members
and you will begin to experience the excitement that is brewing
at your local fire department.
The fire station is located at 59 West Bow Street and may be
reached at (603)-934-2205 or
