Not feeling fit enough, don’t fret; Monday mornings from 9:00am-11:00am the gym will be open exclusively for senior citizens interested in walking or playing basketball. The game room will also be open for playing ping pong, air hockey and pool. This program will begin November 12th and continue into the spring. There is no cost for this program.
Beginning November 13th, the Franklin Parks and Recreation Department will be offering a wiffleball league for adults (18 years of age or older). Games will take place on Tuesday evenings starting at 8:00pm. Teams will consist of four to six players. Teams may register as a group; individuals may register separately and be placed on a team. All registrations must be completed by Friday, November 9th. The cost for this program is $10.00 (Resident) / $15.00 (Non-Resident) per person.
The Franklin Parks and Recreation is holding an open basketball night for women. This program meets Sundays from 5:00pm-6:30pm at the Franklin Recreation Center, and is open to women 18 years of age or older. This program is an on-going program with a one time fee of $10.00 (Resident) / $15.00 (Non-Resident).
The Franklin Recreation Center is available between 7:30pm – 9:00pm on Mondays for any adult (18 year and older) interested in playing pick-up basketball games. This is an on-going program with a one time fee of $10.00 (Resident) / $15.00 (Non-Resident).
The Franklin Parks and Recreation Department is offering an Adult Recreation Club. This program opens the gym and game room for adults with special needs. This environment will encourage socialization as well as physical activity for each participant. Some of the activities will include (but not limited to) basketball, kickball, volleyball, pool, and ping pong. Times and dates to be determined: please contact the Franklin Parks and Recreation Department for more information. There is a one time fee of $10.00 (Resident) / $15.00 (Non-Resident).
Volunteers
The Franklin Parks and Recreation Department needs adult
volunteers to help with various aspects of our programs,
including coaching our youth sport teams. If you are
interested in coaching any sport or activity, or
volunteering your services in any other capacity, please
contact the Franklin Parks and Recreation Department.
There will be a volunteer and youth basketball coaches
meeting, for anyone interested, on Wednesday, November 16th
at 6:00pm at the Franklin Recreation Center.

Winter Sports Coaches & Referees Needed The Franklin Parks and Recreation Department is in need of volunteer coaches and referees for their fall sports programs (Flag Football, Field Hockey, and Soccer).
