Odell Park Centennial Committee

2010 Odell Park Centennial Committee Events

Mission Statement:

On February 2, 2006 Mayor Palfrey appointed a committee to evaluate the condition of Odell Park and make recommendations to the City Council regarding the projects and the funding necessary to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Park.  Based on the findings, the non-profit organization, Odell Park Centennial Project (OPCP) was formed.  Their work is designed to update and improve Odell Park for all that will use it as we start the next 100 years.

Brick Project:

Located on the river’s edge just past the Odell Arch, the new gazebo now adorns Odell Park as one if the many park improvements made for the centennial celebration. The newly-constructed, multi-purpose Gazebo was generously donated by Eva Montembeault in memory of her late husband, Gerard ‘Monty’ Montembeault.

As an individual who recognizes the importance of Odell Park, and has most likely spent time there, you too can become a permanent part of the Park by purchasing an engraved brick or granite bench for the tree-lined walkway linking the road way to the gazebo.
