GROUNDS KEEPER / CUSTODIAN
The City of Franklin, Municipal Services Department seeks a qualified individual for the position of "Groundskeeper / Custodian". This position is assigned within the Buildings and Grounds Division of the Municipal Services Department and essentially entails year round exterior grounds maintenance of City Buildings, Parks and Beaches. Maintenance tasks to the interior of City Buildings may also be performed. In both instances the individual will be working both independently or with a crew. Work is performed both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions on a variety of surfaces. May lift or otherwise move heavy items on a regular basis. A strong work ethic, good attendance, outgoing social skills and being a team player are expected of the applicant.
This is a full-time, year round, benefited position with a requirement to be available to work within the Municipal Services Department, sometimes for long and irregular hours on Snow and Ice Control. Familiarity and ability to work and with landscape, power and hand tools are an ongoing task as part of this position. Employment is contingent upon passing a criminal background check, drug test and being a participant in the Municipal Services Departments, "Random Drug Testing Program". Must have a valid driver’s license. Salary range $12.41 to $16.21 per hour. Applications are due by 3 P.M. May 10, 2017 but position will remain open until filled.

Firefighter AEMT/I or Paramedic
The City of Franklin has an immediate opening for a Full-Time Advanced EMT or Paramedic. We are looking for a highly motivated individual that will demonstrate their commitment to our city, our residents and department.
Franklin is a department that consists of 17 full time members that work a 24 hour rotating schedule as well as 18 on-call members that responded to 1982 incidents in 2016.
Minimum qualifications for applicants include:
- 18 years of age
- High school diploma (or GED)
- Licensed provider to the level of AEMT
- New Hampshire CDL with Tank and Air Brake endorsement
- New Hampshire Firefighter II
- Current CPAT certificate or
- Lateral transfer of full-time career personnel pursuant to State of New Hampshire Administrative Rule 703.01
Additional consideration will be given to applicants with:
- Associates Degree or higher
Residency Requirement - (Successful candidates will be required to attain within one year of hire):
· Residency within 30 minute travel of the Franklin Fire Station.

FRANKLIN SUPERVISOR OF THE CHECKLIST VACANCY FOR WARD 2
The City of Franklin is seeking a volunteer citizen to fill a vacancy as a Supervisor of the Checklist for Ward 2. This position is an elected position and has many important responsibilities and deadlines; knowledge of election laws and procedures is a plus. Attendance at all Elections is required and attendance at supervisor sessions that are held on Tuesdays and Saturdays throughout the Election season. Applicants must be able to dedicate extra time after the Elections to finalize the Checklist. Applicants also must be a registered voter and a Ward 2 resident.

Call Fire Department Openings
The Franklin Fire Department is seeking motivated and energetic individuals to join our team of community service responders. Successful candidates will fill positions on our Call Company. On Call members are needed for response to larger incidents to assist with mitigation and support. These positions demand commitment and dedication.
These are paid positions:
Non- Certified- $7.25 per hour
Certified- $15.59 per hour
These positions will remain open until filled with qualified candidates.
Qualified candidates must:
1. Be 18 years of age
2. At least a High School Graduate or GED
3. Possess valid NH Driver’s license
4. Successfully complete interview process
5. Successfully pass criminal background check
6. Be prepared to attend at least 2 night trainings per month (Wednesday nights)
7. Live within 5.5 miles of the Franklin Fire Station
