City Clerk/Tax Collector
The City of Franklin, NH (pop. Approx 9,000) is accepting applications for the position of City Clerk/Tax Collector. Working under the direction of the city manager, this department head level position directs all facets of the City Clerk/Tax Collector’s Office. Major duties include tax collection, motor vehicle registration, coordination of city elections, and vital statistics. The Clerk/Tax Collector supervises a staff of one deputy and two account clerks.
The Clerk/Tax Collector must be motivated, willing to tackle challenges with high energy, and develop positive working relationships with residents and public officials. Desired qualifications include 3 years experience as a clerk/tax collector. Candidates must be highly organized, conscientious; details oriented, and possess a strong customer service ethic. Clerk/Tax Collector certification by the State of New Hampshire is strongly desired.
